National Symposium cum Paper Presentation on – “Admissibility of Electronic Evidence vis-a-vis Whatsapp Chats in a Court of Law” from 27th -28th February 2021 is being organized by S Square Publications, Pune in collaboration with Calibre and Career, Delhi.

About the Organisations

S SQUARE LEGAL was founded by Dr. Harita Bangali and Dr. Swapnil Bangali for all the lawyers and law students in the legal profession in 2008. The organization has a wide range of experience ranging from academics, training, consultancy, litigation and publication.

CALIBRE & CAREER is an initiative of DigiGrasp Educational Services Pvt. Ltd., an organization committed to imparting knowledge, shaping careers and empowering young minds of our country. The objective behind establishing the institute was to launch a common platform for students seeking to sit for varied competitive exams and also by means of skill based courses to make them more employable in the market.

About the Event

The vision through this event is to promote the understanding of taking of evidence by a court of law in digital times. The idea is to open the exchange of ideas, experience and know-how between students, faculties, research scholars and professionals from different backgrounds and to deliberate on the challenges of “ELECTRONIC EVIDENCE” and the complexities involved in matters of different jurisdiction.

Note: Symposium cum Paper Presentation shall take place over ZOOM app (due to Govt. Guidelines on COVID-19).

Call for Papers

Proposed sub-themes of the Symposium (but not limited to) are as mentioned below and research papers
will be invited from scholars, professionals, students across the country on these themes:

1. Law relating to digital evidence in India.
2. Cyber Forensics and the challenges for law enforcement.
3. The impact of social media on admissibility of digital evidence.
4. Presumption as to documents under Indian Evidence Act, 1872.
5. Evidentiary value of E-contracts.
6. Digital Evidence and White-Collar Crimes.
7. The admissibility of digital evidence in criminal prosecutions.

All abstracts to be sent via email to on or before 15th February, 2021.

After peer review, the selected articles/papers will be published by S Square Publications, Pune in the form of book with ISBN No. Certificate of Best Paper shall be awarded to the top three papers with a copy of the published book.
